Black Mask

Creation & Design

Early Years

Roman Sionis was born into a wealthy family but became disillusioned with his privileged life. After a series of personal failures, he turned to crime and adopted the persona of Black Mask, using a mask made from the wood of his family's coffin factory.

Over the years, Black Mask has evolved from a simple mobster to a complex villain with deep psychological issues, often reflecting themes of identity and power. His interactions with Batman and other characters have added layers to his persona, making him a significant figure in Gotham's criminal hierarchy.
