Ken Landgraf

Ken Landgraf is mostly known as a comic book artist, having worked with both Marvel and DC. He has also created storyboard and on-screen art for television shows such as Law & Order.

In the early 80s, Ken did a comic book for Thor, and through their singer, Jon Mikl Thor, he met Joey DeMaio and Ross the Boss, who asked him to design the cover art for Manowar's "Hail to England". The brief they gave him was "a Barbarian holding the Union Jack, and a sexy girl in the picture". Manowar were pleased with the finished artwork and wanted Ken to design the cover for the follow-up album as well, but at the time they switched labels, and the new label insisted their own in-house designers took the assignment.
